After visiting Kevin's family in Colfax we headed to Spokane for a few days to see my parents. Dylan has such a good time visiting both sets of grandparents, the only unfortunate thing is that he gets so much attention we sometimes have a grandparent hangover when we leave! He is definitely loved and adored!

On Wednesday we finally got a little nice weather so Kevin and I took Dylan to Riverfront park to ride the carousel and feed the ducks. We had done this last summer and he thought it was great! We had to laugh however because in typical Dylan style he decided he did not want to ride the "horsies" (after I got $5 in tokens). He ended up not even cracking a smile during the ride with me. However, when we were driving home he couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was. Dylan and Kevin also spent some time down by the river....much to my dismay there were way more seagulls than ducks at the particular time that we were there. These seagulls are not shy and I have to say I hate them. Dylan (and his dad) thought running up to them and watching them all fly away was pretty funny. It must be a boy thing.
Another highlight of the trip was visiting my friend Kalie and her new baby boy Carter. He is tiny and precious. Dylan was very interested in this little one and keeps talking about him several days later!
We are now happy to be home and regrouping to get back to work and reality on Monday.
