Kevin and his friend Chad planned a Valentine's weekend excursion for myself and Chad's wife Hillary in Walla Walla. I have been looking forward to it for the past month-- two kid-free nights, wine tasting, spa treatments and delicious dinners sounded like heaven!! While we did have a wonderful time with our friends, I had to play the role of "Debbie Downer" and woke up with a horrendous sore throat on Saturday. After visiting only 3 wineries and having lunch I decided it was bad enough for me (and Kevin of course) to endure 2+ hours in a walk-in clinic to find out that I indeed had strep throat. Ugh. As a side note, I have never once had strep throat in all my 32 years so this was a complete bummer and really crappy timing to boot! I was able to rally enough to go out to our Valentine's Dinner.....woo hoo for soup. At least I was a cheap date! But cheers to the hubby for planning it....and it was fabulous to have time together sans kiddos.
