Ramblings

Nothing we've been up to seems blog post worthy these days. I've been terrible about taking pictures.....I really need a new camera, and a new computer to download pics to. So until I have something worthy of a post here's what's been going on around here:

• I feel like I do laundry 24/7 and never catch up. Dylan is the worst laundry offender. Lately all his pants either have huge grass stains or holes in them. I cannot wait for it to be shorts weather so I don't have to deal with either! Plus, we've been trying to potty train at night.....it is not going well. I wash sheets every.single.day. Poor little guy sleeps so darn hard, he doesn't even wake up when he's wet. I hope he's not 10 and still wearing pull-ups.
• Grace is 100% chow hound. She will eat anything and she makes a mess with everything. Today I scrubbed the floors and was appalled at all the dried crusted food I found. Gross.
• Last week Kevin turned 33. We celebrated by having a family dinner on Thursday and then he spent the rest of the weekend with his golfing buddies from Seattle. It's kind of his birthday tradition. As a side note, yesterday he had to spend the day recovering. =)
• I did the Bloomsday Road Race (12K) with my sister and about 60,ooo other people yesterday. I've done virtually no training for it except for a few 2-3 mile walk/runs thanks to our crappy weather. Luckily, I'm not nearly as sore as I thought I'd be- guess I'm not in as bad of shape as I thought. It was lots of fun and I'm definitely planning on doing it again next year. And maybe a few more races in between!
• Next weekend I get to spend 3 nights with 8 of my favorite college (DG) girls in Chelan. We've rented a house on the lake and are planning a weekend enjoying the sun (fingers crossed), wine tasting, eating, drinking and catching up. Watch out Chelan!
• I'm ordering a swing/play set for the yard this week. Kevin and his dad are going to (attempt) to put it together over Memorial Day weekend. I'm so excited to have it this summer so the kids can have more to do outside. I plan on being outside a lot this summer!
• Kevin has had two promotions in one month at work. I'm so proud of him and glad his hard work and dedication is paying off!
• Today just happens to be the 8 year anniversary of our engagement. Kevin proposed on a dock on Alki Beach (one of our most special places) after a dinner at Salty's. I'll never forget how happy I was that day.....definitely one of the my very best days!
