6 years...

Six years!  Six years???  It just doesn't seem possible that this boy of ours is growing up this fast.  A few nights before his birthday, I remarked as I was tucking him in to bed that I couldn't believe 6 years had already passed since he made us a family, to which he responded, "It's OK mom, you still have 10 years before I start driving."  Um, hello, if they go as fast as the past six we are in trouble!

We celebrated six with lots of fun activities on and around our boy's birthday:
A date with Mom and Dad to The Lorax sans little sister.
A birthday scavenger hunt and the prize....a brand new dirt bike!
Birthday donuts for breakfast.
Treats for his Kindergarten class.
Chuck E. Cheese with his best buddy Gabe, followed by ice cream (well sherbet to be exact).
A fishing excursion with Dad.  Sadly, no fish were caught but they still had fun.
A family bowling party for him and cousin Evan (who turned 13) with with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Mastering his new ride!

Apparently Grace is not afraid of characters.  Big brother still  doesn't like them.

Gabe & Dylan

My mom and I made Angry Birds cupcakes for the family party. They were a hit!

A serious bowler on our hands.

Cousins devouring the fries at the bowling alley.

Cousin Morgan liked them a lot!

Birthday boys opening their gifts.

Auntie and Grace enjoying the cupcakes.

Whew!  I formally declared the birthday over on Sunday.  This kid takes after me in the celebrating department!  He's definitely worth all the fuss.
