We had a wonderful Christmas Eve celebrating with our kids and my family. By some Christmas miracle it started snowing about noon on the 24th and we had an unexpected white Christmas. It made the day feel so much more festive! After a relaxing day hanging out at home we ventured out to the Children's mass at church. We'll just say that we survived the mass- Grace was rather wiggly and distracting. At two different (quiet) times during mass she spotted old men with white beards and started shouting "Anta! Anta!" (her version of Santa). Needless to say we were some entertainment for the families who had the privelege of sitting near us. Afterward we headed to my parents for some merriment, dinner and gift opening. Grace was a party animal until we refused her a lollipop at about 9:15 PM and we headed quickly into meltdown mode. We headed home and got ready for Santa. Dylan was really hoping he would hear him or catch a glimpse this year, but was happy to discover everything (and more) that he wanted. After we got the Christmas disaster picked up we headed out to see our Colfax family. More to come on that later!
