Lessons in boy humor

I'm not sure if potty humor is genetically ingrained in little boys but I am pretty sure little girls do not have the same sense of humor as my 2-year old son. Farting, burping, or anything that resembles either of these sounds are the most hilarious things on the planet to Dylan right now. He seems to think these noises should be announced so we are hearing a lot of yelling from other rooms of the house "I farted (with laughter)" in which the good mother in me responds by saying "What do you say?" and he responds "Cuse me!"
Now I can live with this potty humor for a while but there is some humor that is downright embarassing in public. Lately he's been into sniffing things (shoes, socks, the dog, his feet, etc) and stating "Oh, that's stinky!" It was kind of funny until last weekend at a BBQ at our friend's home he sat on my lap, buried his face into my chest and loudly blurted "Oh, that stinks!" Now mind you I had showered a mere short hours before this event so I'm sure I didn't really stink, but it was incredibly humiliating to have my son announce to all that I did!
Ah, the joys of being a mom!
